Smith Insurance Associates, Inc. is a family owned business that has earned a solid reputation for providing innovative insurance protection at the best value for the real estate industry. With over 35 years of experience and an extensive client list, we are able to provide leverage that parallel’s and exceeds that of national and international insurance agencies and brokers. In addition, our commitment to the family name and reputation ensures that all of our clients receive the personalized service and the uncompromised integrity they deserve.

Providing insurance protection at economical pricing and serving all of our clients with superior customer service is what differentiates us from the competition!

Smith Insurance is committed to upholding the family name and reputation of providing innovative insurance protection at the best value while delivering optimal customer service and uncompromising integrity to each of our clients.

Smith Insurance has been insuring Condominium and Community Associations since their inception and utilizes Community Insurance Risk Management Specialists to provide coverage for over 500 Community Associations.

The national organization called the Community Association Institute (CAI) has developed the prestigious (CIRMS) designation to recognize professionalism and dedication to the unique tasks of insurance and risk management services to community associations.  At the end of 2011, there were only 86 certified CIRMS nationwide and we currently have three in our agency.

In addition to having 3 CIRMS at the agency, Smith Insurance received the prestigious Business Partner of the Year award from the Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley Chapter of the Community Association Institute in December 2011.  This award is given to a CAI Business Partner that has provided extraordinary service and support to an individual community association and the industry as a whole.

Not only does Smith Insurance understand the complexities of Community Association risk management but we are also an independent insurance agent which means that we represent several different insurance companies instead of just one captive company. Over the years we have built solid relationships with insurance carriers that specialize in insurance for Community Associations.  These carriers have remained steadfast in their commitment to our agency and to insuring Community Associations in good times and in hard times.  So rather than spending hours gathering quotes from various companies for your Community Association, you can get it done with one simple call or email to Smith Insurance.  We will shop around with competing carriers to find your Association the most comprehensive coverage at the most competitive price.

In addition to the commitment of our specialized carriers, Smith Insurance prides itself on staying abreast of the ever-changing environment of Community Association insurance:

  • We are active members of the Community Associations Institute (CAI)
  • We are active members of the Greater Philadelphia Condominium Managers Association (GPCMA)
  • We have four past presidents of the regional Pennsylvania/Delaware Valley chapter of CAI
  • Smith Insurance is committed to educating Property Manager’s, Board Members, and the general public on the complexities of Community Association Insurance:
  • We provide educational seminars to Community Association Institute and the Greater Philadelphia Condominium Managers Association
  • We provide educational seminars to property management companies
  • We attend Board of Directors meetings for all Community Association’s we insure
  • We publish articles in Community Association Institute periodicals
  • We provide pertinent loss control articles to all Community Association clients on an ongoing basis
