Part I of this workshop will cover insurance requirements (state law and governing documents), types and costs of coverages, deductibles, how claims affect cost of coverage, and policy resolutions (e.g. responsibility for deductible, homeowner requirement to carry HO6 coverage). Part 2 will cover what the Association’s responsibility and what do you do when damage is reported (e.g. water leak, mold, fire)? We’ll cover when to report the damage to the association’s insurance company (and when not to), and what to do with insurance proceeds when received.
