What’s your organizational culture? Are you happy at work? How do you handle conflict and difficult situations? This year’s State of the Industry Breakfast will help you improve your culture, improve conflict management, and provide for a happier environment and an improved culture in your organizations.
Session 1 – All Together Now: Keeping Your Team Happy & Supported
Speaker: Nick Gianoulis, founder of The Fun Dept.
The way we work is constantly changing to suit the needs of the ever-evolving world we live in. Outpacing the competition begins with workplace culture that keeps your team feeling happy and supported, even when you’re not all under the same roof. Since 2006, The Fun Dept. has empowered hundreds of companies around the world to become happier, healthier, and more connected. Our innovative solutions are proven to improve culture, enhance employee engagement and generate real, measurable impact on your bottom line.
Session 2 – Beyond Credentials: EQ Is the Key to Personal and Professional Success
Speaker: Thomas L. Willis, PCAM, Association Bridge, LLC
While education and professional development programs are designed to help us to succeed in our fields of endeavor, our level of emotional intelligence—our EQ—is the primary predictor of success and excellence. Learn why business fundamentals and technical details don’t always equip us with the tools we need to do our jobs successfully, and how to excel in the real world by studying and learning the value of EQ.
Session 3 – Lessons in Leadership: Navigating a Challenge with the Whole World Watching
Speaker: Donna Farrell, Vice President of Corporate Communications, Independence Blue Cross and former CBS3 Anchor Pat Ciarrocchi
What does it take to convince the pope to come to Philadelphia and how do you get ready to welcome him – and the world – once he agrees? Hear firsthand the lessons in leadership learned from the global event that brought Pope Francis to Philadelphia. This exercise in leadership had it all: ensuring safety, housing travelers, recruiting and training volunteers, and creating an atmosphere of excitement for the hundreds of thousands of visitors and media flocking to the region. Journalist Pat Ciarrocchi and Donna Farrell, former Executive Director of the World Meeting of Families – Philadelphia 2015, will take part in a conversation on leadership. Currently serving as Vice President for Corporate Communications at Independence Blue Cross, Farrell will address managing tough situations, negotiating to get to “yes,” and stress management.
