The Pennsylvania Legislative Action Committee (PA-LAC) is a committee of the Community Associations Institute (CAI). It is the largest advocacy organization in America dedicated to monitoring legislation, educating elected state lawmakers, and protecting the interests of those living in community associations in Pennsylvania.
What is PA-LAC?
Is a non-profit committee comprised of 13 voting delegates and at-large CAI members from throughout Pennsylvania.
Represents 2,347,000 homeowners residing in 11,735 associations throughout Pennsylvania.
Is comprised of association homeowners, board members, and professionals.
Is not a PAC (Political Action Committee), and makes no financial contributions.
Depends solely on the donations of the community associations it represents.
What does PA-LAC do?
PA-LAC researches, then reviews proposed legislation and takes positions on bills affecting homeowner associations (HOAs).
PA-LAC educates lawmakers, key staff, and other organizations, and testifies in committee.
Holds CA Days in Harrisburg to get to know legislators and inform them of issues affecting homeowners and associations.
