Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley Chapter, Community Associations Institute

Community Associations Institute (CAI) is a national organization dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive, competent community associations. Its mission is to help community associations promote harmony, a sense of community, responsible citizenship and effective leadership. The Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley Chapter represents managers, community association volunteer leaders, management companies and professionals who provide products and services to association-governed communities.

The Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley Chapter was recognized with various CAI national awards for 2006, including the Chapter Excellence Award.

Benefits and Programs

The chapter represents the interests of hundreds of homeowner, condominium and cooperative associations and the thousands of homeowners who reside in planned communities. CAI’s focus is on providing members with education, information and legislative advocacy services. These efforts are enhanced by the work of CAI’s Pennsylvania and New Jersey Legislative Action Committees.

Educational programs include the Tuesday’s with CAI Manager Education series, geared to professional association managers, and the Essentials of Community Association Volunteer Leadership program. The Essentials program is a one-day course for volunteers in associations to learn about the most current and important issues in community association governance and operations.

The chapter’s award winning Gold Star Community© Program recognizes those communities that work hard to develop and maintain standards, encourage community participation, maintain fiscal stability and positively impact the quality of life for residents.

Publications include CAI national’s Common Ground magazine, and the chapter’s quarterly publication, Community Assets.
